The Legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

In celebration of Rev. Dr. King's legacy and his monumental contributions to society, Texas College will observe the Martin Luther King Holiday on Monday, January 20, 2025; offices will be closed and there will be no classes during this observance. Offices will reopen and classes will resume on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at their regularly scheduled times.

Additionally, to commemorate the holiday and recognize Rev. Dr. King’s colossal impact, a message from President Fennell and an excerpt from Rev. Dr. King's "The Purpose of Education," as well as a variety of his speeches are provided below. Videos are sourced from The King Center via YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@TheKingCenter/videos).
