Texas College is grounded in the tradition of academic excellence. Through scholarship opportunities, we strive to recognize the academic achievements of prospective students. Scholarships are competitive and based upon the availability of funding. In order to be considered for a Texas College Institutional Scholarship, students must accept all eligible federal and state funding available to them.
Eligible scholarship candidates will be reviewed by the Texas College Scholarship Committee. To be considered for a Texas College scholarship all incoming freshmen must submit the following items by September 1st (fall semester) and November 1st (spring semester) in order for your scholarship application to be reviewed:
Below is a listing of scholarship opportunities available to incoming freshmen at Texas College:
Presidential Scholarship: Recipients of the Presidential Scholarship will receive a scholarship to cover the full cost of tuition and fees. The criteria for this Scholarship includes a minimum of 3.8 or higher grade point average, a minimum 23 ACT composite score or above (or on the SAT combined Reading and Math 1060). Student must also, be ranked in the top 10% percentile of their graduating class.
Renewal Requirements: Students must maintain an overall GPA of 3.7 or higher, and enroll in 15 or more credit hours. Students must successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester.
Deans Scholarship: Recipients of the Deans Scholarship will receive $ 3,000.00 per year. The criteria for this Scholarship include a minimum of 3.5 or higher grade point average, 21 ACT composite score or above (or on the SAT combined Reading and Math 990).
Renewal Requirements: Students must maintain a 3.5 or higher, and enroll in 15 or more credit hours. Students must successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester.
Honors Scholarship: Recipients of the Honors Scholarship will receive $ 2,000.00 per year. The criteria for this Scholarship include a minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher grade point average, 18 ACT composite score or above (or on the SAT combined Reading and Math 860).
Renewal Requirements: Students must maintain a 3.0 or higher, and enroll in 15 or more credit hours. Students must successfully complete at least 12 credit hours each semester.
