Texas College Invites Future Steers to 2026 Athletic, Choir and Band Camps
Texas College is excited to invite middle school and high school students from across the region to participate in the 2026 Texas College Athletic, Choir and Band Camps, taking place August 3–15, 2026, on Texas College campus in Tyler, Texas.
This camp is designed to inspire, develop, and prepare the next generation of student leaders, performers, and athletes, the camps offer participants a unique opportunity to sharpen their skills while experiencing life at one of the nation's proudest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The two-week experience will feature instruction, training, and mentorship from Texas College coaches, directors, staff, and student leaders in a variety of programs, including:
● Football
● Volleyball
● Men's and Women's Soccer
● Cheer
● Band
● Choir
Participants will receive hands-on training in their chosen discipline while learning the values that define the Texas College experience—leadership, teamwork, discipline, academic excellence, and personal growth.
"These camps are more than skill-building opportunities; they are pathways to discovering potential, building confidence, and connecting with the Texas College family," said Andrew Bates. The Athletic, Choir and Band Camps serve as an important recruitment and outreach initiative, allowing prospective students to engage with faculty, coaches, directors, and current students while exploring future educational opportunities at Texas College.
Under the theme "Tradition. Pride. Excellence.", participants will experience the rich culture and legacy of Texas College while developing their talents both on and off the field, stage, and performance floor.
