The Texas College Men's Soccer Team began the 2024 season at home on Saturday, September 7, hosting the Ecclesia College Royals from Arkansas.
The Steers would ultimately emerge victorious with a 3-2 win over the Royals to open the season. Helping lead the Steers to victory was Kleber Nino, a freshman striker/forward from Zapata, Texas. Described as the "man of the match" by Head Coach Marco Mthembu, Nino came into the game as a substitute and scored one goal. Then, Nino made a crucial assist on the final goal of the night, securing a win for Texas College Men's Soccer with a score of 3-2 over Ecclesia College.
