In celebration of their 60th anniversary, the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD) gifted every Texas College student a care package to begin the new academic year. As a community service project titled "Stewards of Tomorrow," TLOD members of the Rose City Chapter and over 400 other Ladies from TLOD assembled more than 1,000 care packages for students at the College as a way to "pay it forward."
“The assembled care packages will empower the next generation while providing essential resources to support their academic journey,” said Lady Sharon Mosley, who represented TLOD when delivering and distributing the care packages.
Lady Mosley also noted that TLOD's local Top Teen President, Teen Mia Adams, along with Teen Jorean Douglas, were very instrumental in their dedication to promote the project. Lady Mosley referred to the care packages as "a special blessing of much needed support from the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc.," and indeed it was, as evidenced by the excited line of students awaiting to receive their care package.
This project, noted as a milestone event by Lady Mosley, will not be the last of its kind from TLOD. "It is our desire to continue to aid the students by supporting them throughout the year," said Lady Mosley.
